The Republic of Finland can be found in
Northern Europe bordering Sweden, Norway, Russia, and the Baltic Sea. Finland is bilingual with 92% of the
population speaking Finnish and 5.5% speaking Swedish. Finland is known as the most democratic and
least corrupted country in the world according to the World Audit study.
Finland bills their telephone calls by
pulses. The first pulse comes directly
after the mandatory free pricing announcement and the pulses continue from
there. The pulses are always worth the
same amount of money and they directly affect the cost of the call, so a more
expensive call requires more frequent pulses, and the call’s total cost may be
affected by when the call is terminated, whether it is right before or right
after a pulse.
Finland‘s telephone system is
technologically advanced enough to allow for the use of Premium Rates. Premium Rate Numbers are available in several
categories, providing value-added service for Finland with Pay-Per-Call or
Pay-Per-Minute lines in both entertainment and information formats. See our charts in the Payout tab for details
on all the service number tariffs we offer in Finland and be sure to contact us
for an up-to-date offer because tariffs and payouts change nearly daily due to
the volatile market.
In Finland they still bill by pulses. The pulse is always worth the same amount of money and the different caller rates are achieved by modifying the pulse frequency. A high call rate per minute also has a high pulse rate and vice versa. So the callers are charged by the pulses and because of that the actual cost of the call may vary a little depending on when the call was terminated: just after a pulse or just before. The more expensive the call is the smaller the difference is in percentage, because the pulses are so frequent. The pulses start immediately after the announcement and the first one comes directly after it.
